Affiliate tracking/better way of creating Merchants

Is there any better way other than notes to track affiliate?

As it stands we can point affiliates at our website to sign up, but then that just tracks the monthly subscription. We want to track the actual cost of every item those referred clients goes through us. So affiliates get “x” % of everything.

At the minute as far as im aware its impossible to track!.

We have people that sign up on the website which creates a subscription/user on stripe, but then there is no way for them to sign up to the portal/prepbusiness user without a manual invite thats done by us… the problem being that creates a second user/customer on stripe for the “portal” merchant. This leaves 2 stripe accounts in theory for each person, and not trackable for affiliate other than manual….

Has anyone found a way round this, or is there a better way that we can free up access in order to add some code or api or call to our website that allows sign up for merchant in one place, in turn creating only one stripe customer, which would solve affiliate as it would link the client. This would also cut down on so much manual messing about.

Would love to hear others thoughts on this also.
